I Think I'm Going to Cry!

The new owners passed around lease notices today, which either meant they didn't get permission to convert the apartment to condos or it's going to take a while.

The DREADFUL news is that, if I sign a lease, my rent is going up $155 PER MONTH!!!

The WORSE news is that, if I DON'T sign a lease, my rent is going up $455 PER MONTH!!!

$1,250 with a lease.

$1,550 without a lease.

For a two-bedroom, one-bath apartment.

And, you know what's sad?

That's a bargain.

Sigh.

Off to cry.

Oh crap... I'm sorry to hear that. That's a high rent even in NY (obviously you're getting more for your money, though). I'm sure you'll get by, but it sure makes it harder. Good luck...
