queenoftheskiesThe new owners passed around lease notices today, which either meant they didn't get permission to convert the apartment to condos or it's going to take a while.
The DREADFUL news is that, if I sign a lease, my rent is going up $155 PER MONTH!!!
The WORSE news is that, if I DON'T sign a lease, my rent is going up $455 PER MONTH!!!
$1,250 with a lease.
$1,550 without a lease.
For a two-bedroom, one-bath apartment.
And, you know what's sad?
That's a bargain.
Sigh.
Off to cry.

Similar things happen here in Florida, because of the monstrous increase in our insurance rates thanks to all the hurricanes. I wish there was an easy answer, but there doesn't seem to be one.
