Counting Down
Oct. 2nd, 2006 07:56 pmSo, like other folks on LJ, I'm already getting excited about NaNoWriMo. Only a month to go.
Hopefully, the OT will ease down to a manageable level so I can get my plotting and a tentative chapter list done before the month of November starts.
My project is going to be City of Fallen Stars and will be set in my ongoing series. It's possible that it will be a sequel to Gateway to Eternity, which I hope to complete in novel form this month.
Each year, I've made more progress than the year before.
2004 - Completed NaNo with 50,534 words on Yami No Tenshi
2005 - Completed NaNo with 102,041 words Xanali
As of this date, Yami No Tenshi is not complete because I decided to finish the novels that come before it first.
Xanali is one of those novels and was finished just this past January 2006.
This year, I hope to start and complete City of Fallen Stars during the month of November.
While this hasn't been one of my biggest word count years to date because of a number of problems this year, things could always look up by next month.
I'm going to remain optomistic.
Those of you who are going to participate in NaNo...what are you working on?
EDIT: Thank you SO MUCH to
kuroshii who pointed out that I was so tired last night I posted wrong years. Heh. I was so tired. I've gone back and corrected them now (I think), so I'm living in the right year and not a time shift. Heh.

Date: 2006-10-03 09:12 am (UTC)So I suspect while I'll be writing like a madwoman, cribbing off the NaNo energy -- I'll be starting sometime in the next couple days.
The story is pure-D space opera. Government agents arrested and tried for treason, escape off world, take up a life of smuggling, and fall in love with each other. :)
I'm looking forward to it *so* much!

Date: 2006-10-09 02:21 am (UTC)Last year, it was really hard for me to wait for NaNo, but I did.
This year, I have something I'm working on, which is fortunate. It keeps me from getting an early jump and losing out on NaNo.
Are you having as much fun writing this novel as you expected?
