::cue singing and Staples' ads::
I love "Back to School" time because Staples has such AWESOME deals on office supplies, and OMG, I am such an office supply whore!
I needed pens (my favorite black pen of preference for general writing is Pilot Precise P-500 needle point) and highlighters (yellow Z4 Briteliner Grip...and YES, I do mark in books, thank you very much), so I stopped at one near work on the way home.
OMG...back to school sale in full swing!!!
My favoritest notebooks, the ones I use for all my plotting and writing and note-taking were on sale. FIVE STAR 5 subject notebooks. Those suckers usually go for about $9...on sale now for $4.99. ::shudders with pleasure::
They have regular, college-ruled spirals (wouldn't get caught dead with wide ruled) on sale in packs of 6 for $1.49. Quad-ruled pads (4 squares per inch on front and 5 squares per inch on back) were $1.00. (I use them for laying out scenes, BTW. And developing floorplans for buildings. And--here's the hardest part--laying out cities and ruins.)
And, wonderful, clear, acrylic rulers were only $1.00, too. Good for developing the buildings, cities, and ruins. :)
I am in, like, office supply heaven.
And, yes, I know you folks think I'm stupid, but, you know what? It makes me more productive. I already have big plans for plotting tomorrow.
But...eeek...I have three assignments I have to finish getting ready for the class that starts on Monday. Have to e-mail them to the instructor tomorrow.
Better get to work!!!

Date: 2006-07-15 01:58 am (UTC)although I almost never write longhand anymore so my office supply geekiness only extends so far but I know the feeling. Seeing a notebook and thinking "I just know I'm going to be away from the powerbook and I'm gonna need to write something down and just taking papers out of the recycling bin from work is starting to get messy and piling up"
