What great background music for gutting a novel. That's what I'm doing to Wildfire right now. Taking out a lot of stuff I don't like and then I'll replace it with new plot.

I don't know if North Torrance got any rain - I haven't been there much today past morning. It was dampish out when I left - it might have rained earlier, before I unlocked the door and went out to brave the elements.

Mom is in scenic Hacienda Heights, where we've had the "family homestead" since, hmm, 1963, I think.
