Must...Resist...Can't...Give...In....
Oct. 22nd, 2005 10:01 amArghhhhhhhhh! Someone hold me back. Someone take away my pen and my keyboard.
Just until this passes.
Please.
I can't give in.
Must start fresh.
Must...start...fresh!!!!!
I...sniffle...I want to write on my NaNoWriMo project and I can't stand it any more.
I plotted more today at breakfast. I'm working on detailed plotting now and it's amazing what pops up when I do. Ideas...more and more of them. Details that fill in sections of the plot I hadn't even considered before.
I know that's good. It's very good.
The problem is that I have these three scenes in GREAT detail in my mind. Okay, maybe that four. The fourth keeps playing in my mind like a movie.
And, I want to write them sooooo bad I can't stand it.
But, the point and purpose of NaNoWriMo is to start on a new project. Not something already in the works.
Plus, I want to see if I can write an entire novel from scratch in one month.
Sigh...
So, I have to refrain for a little over a week more.
I just hope I don't lose the scenes. Is it wrong to sketch them out with bits of dialogue ahead of time?
Well, I'm off to the mall with my daughter for her to pick out a birthday present for a friend and for me to pick up some sugar free chocolate from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to reward myself for when I finish my novel this weekend. (Definitely this weekend.) And, a couple of things for my sister.
Maybe that'll help me resist the desire to work on those scenes.
