I think I'm back.

At least part time.

I want you to know that LJ only goes back 1,000 posts, and I have 309 people on my FL.

So, anybody want to tell me what they've been up to over the past two weeks? I'd love to catch up.

It Almost Always Seems Like...

The words "Sci Fi Original" spell the mark of doom!

I tried to watch the newest one on tonight. I think it's called Savage Planet. I watched until the bear knocked the woman's head off.

That, I did NOT need to see.

So, I've switched to old SF instead.

War of the Worlds. The original.

I just watched the Tom Cruise version the other night and was wishing for this one, so my daughter scrounged it up today.

I love old SF.

Back to the screenplay.

I'd like to get the assignment done tonight and have time to edit it once tomorrow before I send it.

Dudes! There were Martian machines close to my home in the old War of the Worlds movie!!!

I'm Okay With That

Got 6 of the 12 pages done on my assignment.

I'm okay with that.

I have in the basic action, dialogue, exposition for the scenes I wrote, but need to beef it up, put in more emotion and feel of action into the words that are there.

(Though oldest son just read the first three pages and said the tension is good there.)

I'm okay with that, too.

In the morning, I won't be so tired and will finish with fresh imagination and eyes that are objective.

I'm happy with what's there now.

Goal is to get up early and finish before breakfast.

Then daughter and I are going to have chorizo for breakfast at one of the local restaurants and I can pencil edit there.

Come home, make changes.

Get oldest son to read and proof-read.

Make more changes.

Send assignment to instructor.

Then go to the movies with kids.

Hooray.

It's all about the rising tension.
