And last night was one of those nights.

Fortunately, it's not something that happens all the time, or I'd be more exhausted than I am, but it's kind of an interesting phenomenon.

It apparently works on whatever is inside it all night and I wake up like every half an hour to an hour and it shows me its progress.

However, I think around 4:00, it must have taken a break and I must have gotten some real sleep because I do remember dreaming some. Once about going to a totally cool doctor. Once about working in a totally cool office. And, once about the warriors in the projects I'm working on. Only the last one was vague. The first two had lots of details that I remember.

I guess brain just wanted to make sure I finished assignment this morning. Though it would have been nice if it had let me get some sleep, LOL. I generally write more coherently with sleep.

Anyway, off to breakfast.

Everybody have a great morning!

Zooooooom!

One of the nice things that happened while I was taking downtime from LJ is that a man at work, who was retiring, gave each of us in the department a really nice parting gift.

Part of the gift was a $50 AMC gift card.

I've been wanting to use it the past few weekends, but have either had to work or have just been too exhausted to use it.

This weekend, I'm good. So, kids and I went to the movies.

Now that the AMCs have $5 movies before noon on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays, you can't beat the price of admission.

While I know it's NOT going to be one of the big movies of the summer, it looked like a laugh, so we went to see Tim Allen's new movie, Zoom.

Do I think it's for everybody? No. Lots of people will probably find it stupid.

Was it good for us? We loved it.

It was funny, it had super heroes, it had backstory, it had a great character arc for Tim Allen's character, some unexpected moments, and a really, kick-ass, feel good, HAPPY ending.

It was fun. I enjoyed it.

Youngest son and I cooked tonight. Terriyaki chicken skewers and rice.

Yummy!

So, I'm taking a breather from my Screenplay class assignment while I'm eating.

I'm on page 9 of 12 (or wherever there's a good place to end a scene) and quite pleased with the rough draft so far.

I don't aim for perfection on the first draft, but I've been doing lots of cutting and rewriting to get a decent rough draft. Something I can add to or take from later.

Can't complain.

Yet.

Everything going smoothly.

I'm just not finished yet.

Have to do that soon.

Now for food.
