Now I'm Set
May. 5th, 2005 08:52 pmEver since I split Rosemont off from Dawn of Destiny, I haven't been 100% happy. There were some elements of Rosemont that had originally linked up with sections of Dawn of Destiny, and I didn't feel like I separated them completely.
Also, Rosemont didn't feel like a complete stand-alone novel with a stand-alone plot of its own.
Well, problem solved. It came to me this morning after breakfast. I knew exactly what to do with Rosemont. So, I cut out the problem sections and gave them to Dawn of Destiny, where they really belong. Rosemont is now a stand-alone with no ties to Dawn of Destiny other than the same city, some of the same characters, and it takes place directly before Dawn of Destiny.
Hooray!
Lilli, Meilanna, Henry, Dirk, and Chloe will be completely introduced in Rosemont and ready to hit the ground running. Bruce, Calla, and her parents have cameos; they'll have bigger parts in Dawn of Destiny.
Then we meet Robbie, Carlos, Jeremy, and the monsters in Dawn of Destiny.
Dennis will be mentioned in Rosemont, introduced briefly in Dawn of Destiny and then have a larger role in Gateway to Eternity.
Ayana will be mentioned in both Rosemont and Dawn of Destiny, but not actually appear until Gateway to Eternity.
Meliathis will escape in Rosemont, where we don't actually see him, but not become known until Dawn of Destiny and have a larger role in Gateway to Eternity and then a MUCH larger role in The Magic Within (which still needs a title change).
Ahhhhh...I love it when everything falls into place.
So, word counts for the day (total word counts change on Rosemont and Dawn of Destiny) are as follows:
Rosemont 1,520 words today
80,581 total words to date
Dawn of Destiny
83,305 total words to date
I actually did more reviews/critiques today. I'm on a roll this week.
OWW 1
Critters 3
Ready for the weekend. Ready to sleep.
