What did those of you who watched The Dresden Files tonight think of the episode based on Storm Front?

Inquiring minds want to know.

It's a shame that after i blew off drinks with Jim, that I haven't read the series or caught up on the tv series either.. but I guess that's the price I pay for being an author under his imprint these days! hehe!

My reaction? Now why the heck didn't they start with that as the pilot? It had so many things the "real" pilot was missing, that would've made it so much better. Imagine that, using the story the actual author used to introduce his characters worked better than the script the TV people came up with.

It had Susan (even though she was blond), better dialogue with Murphy than much of what I've seen so far (though her acting still seems a bit stilted to me), Harry having problems with technology and commenting on it at least twice, a flash of something that might have been the Blue Beetle, even if Harry wasn't driving it, introduced us to Ancient Mai and the High Council very effectively....I could go on and on. If this had been the pilot, I'd probably have this show Season Passed on el Tivo. As it is, I only watch it when I happen to be up and not doing much else.

I enjoyed the episode. I wish it had been done as a longer episode.
