As We Wind Down
Dec. 21st, 2006 05:56 amCan you believe there are only 10 days left in the year after today?
What do you have planned for the rest of the year? How do you plan to ring in the new?
Have you thought about your plans and goals for the new year?
I kinda have some in the back of my mind, but I'm waiting, letting them ferment to see what floats to the top. I want to get through some of my year-end projects first and then I'll think about firmer goals and the way to get there.
As you look back over 2006, was this a good year for you? Or not one of your best? How will you remember it as you look back on it years from now?
What is the single most important thing that happened to you this year?
What is the single most important thing that happened to you and/or what you learned as a writer, if you're a writer on my FL?
I'm looking forward to 2007. What about you folks?

Date: 2006-12-21 02:11 pm (UTC)Well, I mean, it was a stressfulish year. Some bad things happened. I lost some people. I gained some people. But overall? I'll say pretty good year, and I'll remember it as the Year of Many Books.
Mebbe. If I can think of a better name, we'll go by that. :D

Date: 2006-12-21 03:05 pm (UTC)I'd like to get as many of my short stories out on submission before the end of this year. As for next, my plan is to finish my second novel and have it at least ready for my beta readers by next December. I've also had in my backbrainfor a few years now a novella-length thing that I'd like to actually sit down and start to write, but it just hasn't managed to reach critical mass.
Single most important thing that happened this year? In a positive sense, that I finished Novel the First and sent it out. Maybe I'll hear back on it in 2007 (-:

Date: 2006-12-21 08:17 pm (UTC)As a writer: Learned I don't really have a story till I have at least one character (as distinguished from a character role).
