Can you believe there are only 10 days left in the year after today?

What do you have planned for the rest of the year? How do you plan to ring in the new?

Have you thought about your plans and goals for the new year?

I kinda have some in the back of my mind, but I'm waiting, letting them ferment to see what floats to the top. I want to get through some of my year-end projects first and then I'll think about firmer goals and the way to get there.

As you look back over 2006, was this a good year for you? Or not one of your best? How will you remember it as you look back on it years from now?

What is the single most important thing that happened to you this year?

What is the single most important thing that happened to you and/or what you learned as a writer, if you're a writer on my FL?

I'm looking forward to 2007. What about you folks?

Ooo, good question.

Well, I mean, it was a stressfulish year. Some bad things happened. I lost some people. I gained some people. But overall? I'll say pretty good year, and I'll remember it as the Year of Many Books.

Mebbe. If I can think of a better name, we'll go by that. :D

Year of Many Books.

I like that.

Congrats on your productivity. :)

::HUGS:: for the bad things.

I can't wait for 2006 to end; I think it's fair to say this was the worst year of my life. As for plans...

I'd like to get as many of my short stories out on submission before the end of this year. As for next, my plan is to finish my second novel and have it at least ready for my beta readers by next December. I've also had in my backbrainfor a few years now a novella-length thing that I'd like to actually sit down and start to write, but it just hasn't managed to reach critical mass.

Single most important thing that happened this year? In a positive sense, that I finished Novel the First and sent it out. Maybe I'll hear back on it in 2007 (-:

I'm sorry that 2006 was bad for you.

Congratulations on finishing your novel and getting it out.

I hope 2007 is very prosperous and filled with excitement for you. :)

Single most important thing: got a book contract. So yes, I'm looking forward to 2007 (although the book won't be published until early 2008). But I have other books to sell, to write, agents to query -- much, much to do.
:-)

There are a lot of things I want to leave behind, but most certainly not getting married to [livejournal.com profile] teriel, which was pretty much one of the high points. Publishing a book was pretty impressive, too. As for writing, it's taught me a lot about interpersonal relationships, oddly enough. I've learned that people are going to be assholes no matter what you do, so ignore them, and give your attention to the people who do matter.

Single most important thing? I've learned to cut down considerably on the amount of worrying I do.

As a writer: Learned I don't really have a story till I have at least one character (as distinguished from a character role).

How did you learn to cut down on the worrying? I need to do that, too.

Great questions... I'm going to have to ponder these and get back to you. LOL... My beast of a final is in 2 hours, so I'm not exactly thinking clearly at the moment.

I'm sorry that '06 was a rough one for you, sweets. Here's hoping that '07 will be the very best ever.
