Happy Solstice!
To those who celebrate.
I love this time of year. I know lots of people talk about depression and holiday blues, but for me, the air is charged with energy and everything seems bright and new.
Maybe it's the new beginning that looms over us as the old year dies and the new begins. Maybe it's the fact that the days have grown dark and now they'll grow lighter. I don't know, but this time of year is good for me.
Since I leave early and get home late, I'm able to see both sunrise and sunset and I've definitely been able to see the changes over the past few weeks...watch as the sun rises later and sets earlier.
It's amazing how fast the seasons pass. I'm sure it'll seem like no time until we're here next year, marveling that it's Winter again and how fast the year went by.
