Kind of.
I mean, on the one hand, I didn't push myself or exact word counts from myself, but on the other hand, I was a little productive.
I read through novel sections that I want to work on editing over the holidays. Worked on plotting out some changes. Worked on plotting future work.
I prepared and mailed out two screenplay query letters. Guaranteed reads again. One was to a manager, another was to a pretty prominent production company. The lady there sounded very responsive to all genres, so that's a plus.
For the manager, I queried Gateway to Eternity, I Sold My Soul to Santa, and Atonement.
For the production company, I queried Gateway to Eternity, I Sold My Soul to Santa, Atonement, and Cereal Killer.
A possible problem with the production company is that two of the screenplays I queried have female leads and the owner of the prodco is an actor. However, there are good male leads in those and the exec from the company says he looks for movies to direct, not just to star in.
Not that I think I'll get a bite from that company. The actor is just too well-known for me to get my hopes up.
Tonight, I surprised myself by actually doing two reviews on OWW, which I just signed up again for last month. I have three or four other pieces printed out to review.
Not tonight. I'm too tired. Not tomorrow. I'm still going to Disneyland with my daughter, even if it rains on us. :)
Over the holidays, I'll do more.
And, tomorrow night, after I get home, I'm going to work on City of Fallen Stars some more and work on my partial.
It's raining outside now. Have I mentioned lately how much I love rain?
It's nice.
Good night, Live Journal. Everyone sleep good and have a great day tomorrow.
