What are you thankful for today?

I'm thankful for my kids. They're great people, haven't ever been in trouble, and we love each other very much.

I'm thankful for my kitties...even if two of them did wake me up at 5:30 this morning. They're good little guys, we give each other lots of hugs, and we love each other lots.

I'm thankful that I'm able to write, even when I don't think I'm good enough. I love it and couldn't live without it ever.

I'm thankful that, in spite of the fact that I have a couple of problems that could be dangerous left unchecked, I'm basically a healthy person and that these problems are under MY control. I'm not under theirs.

I'm thankful for friends, particularly all the wonderful people I've met here on LJ. You folks rock!

I'm thankful that I have a job, even though it's rough sometimes.

I'm thankful that I'm off work for FOUR days.

I'm thankful I have a home, a car, and enough food to eat. There were times that I didn't.

I'm thankful that today is another day, that it's just starting, and there are many wonders to discover still.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you, too!!!

Are you going to eat lots of turkey today?

Not me. I'm going to have quiche for breakfast and duck for Thanksgiving dinner.

(I fixed a HUGE turkey about a month ago and that was enough turkey to last me a while.)

Oh yes. As much as I can eat! :-)

We have quiche on Christmas Day... yum!

I've never had duck. What's it like?

Mmmmm. What else do you have for Thanksgiving dinner?

I love quiche, but have never made it at home before.

Duck is like all dark meat. A little oily. Very tasty.

Just the traditional stuff. Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberries, bread and butter, green bean casserole.

*iz hungry*

I like dark meat on turkey, so duck actually sounds pretty good.

Yummy. That's mostly the kind of stuff we'll have with our duck, though no cranberries.

And, our desert is a sugar free apple pie. Mmmmm. With sugar free ice cream. Mmmmm.

I'm hungry, too. I've been up since 5:30 and it's almost 7:00 now. I think I should find something to munch on until the kids wake up and I can fix regular breakfast.

If you like dark meat, you'd probably like it.
