What an Odd Night
Aug. 25th, 2006 05:22 amIt didn't leave a lot of time for sleeping, so I'm a bit groggy this morning.
The power kept going out. Not sure if Edison does rolling black-outs at night or if there was some kind of problem or what.
This has happened before, but not recently.
Normally, you'd never know when the power goes out if you're asleep, right?
Well, when this happens, the phone rings once and everything FLASHES! And, we wake up to absolute, total darkness. No power inside. No power outside.
The first couple of times, it was only for a minute, so no clocks reset and we got back to sleep quickly.
The last time, it was out for a long time, and when it came back on, everything flashed again (though no phone ring when it came back on) and clocks and such had to be reset.
Which meant that I was back in deep slumberland when the alarm went off this morning.
Yawn.
That's going to be my reply to everything today.
