I Should Be Writing

I really should.

I have an assignment due at noon tomorrow.

14 pages.

I have Movie Magic Screenwriter 2000 open. Does that count?

I have scenes that I mapped out during lunch today. (I like this method of scene mapping I've come up with. It's totally cool and works well for me.)

I am NOT in the zone.

I WANT to be in the zone, but I haven't been sleeping much this week and have been working overtime and am exhausted.

I worked ten hours today. If I'd gotten off after 8, I think I'd still be alive tonight.

Have to go pick oldest up at college at 8:20. There's no good way for him to get home on buses that late. As it is, it takes him three buses and two hours to get to school in the mornings...and it's only half an hour's drive from here!!!

I want ice cream. Or chocolate. Or both.

But, I don't want to go to the store.

So, instead, I'm blathering on my LJ.

I'm going to shower and then write. If I at least throw some words onto the page, I can hope I'm in the zone tomorrow to edit. :)

I'm getting to the meat of the first act, so it'll be fun to write. Already had the build-up. Now, the shit is really getting ready to hit the fan!
