I've had quite a nice day. I called my mom, did some reading, some writing, watched a movie...

How about you?

I spent a lot of the weekend bummed out because I felt like I was a sucky writer, but have made some actual progress today.

I was lazy. Took a nap, which I needed. I spend so much time worn out and have little time to rest.

Kids fixed me dinner, which was yummy.

And, I've spent some of the day writing and watching movies on cable.

What are you reading?

Tamsin by Peter S Beagle. I'm almost through! I like it a lot, but then I have yet to read anything of his that I haven't liked. It's a ghost story. :)

I must check it out. I think I read something of his years ago and liked it.

The day, while generally very unpleasant, hasn't been as bad as I expected. I've got a colonoscopy tomorrow morning, so today has been the Day of Suffering that must happen in preparation.

My daughter did make me a nice card, though. And I've slept a lot and got a lot of writing done, all interruptions aside.

I had a very nice day. the guys were great to me. We went out for lunch, then Ken made me a wonderful dinner, complete with chocolate cake. Ian came up with some neat presents, and Ken cleaned out my Amazon wish list. Not a lot of expensive stuff, but good stuff none the less. I am a happy girl.

Hubby and I went to see Posiedon yesterday. Would recommend that you wait and rent this on dvd instead of paying tons of money to see it on the big screen, unless you're a huge Kurt Russell fan. Dang, he's aged well!

I was going to try to get some writing done, but my daughter bought some new anime and just had to watch it in the bedroom with me. So instead of writing, I ended up watching Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky (Laputa), and Kiki's Delivery Service. She wouldn't let me watch Grave of Fireflies, as she says everyone dies at the end.

Maybe I'll watch it today after work.
