I Love it When This Happens
May. 13th, 2006 07:02 amI had a dream last night about one of my novels. One in my series.
I don't remember the details of the dream, which is sad. But, I DO remember the feel of it and I have flashes of images from it. I know which characters were there if I concentrate on the flashes.
I know it was basically between my main character and her father, who had been lost for centuries.
I remember, in the dream, thinking that if there was only one thing I remembered from the entire dream, it was one PERFECT line of dialogue from the father.
I remember waking up with it and thinking the same thing. (I didn't wake up enough to write it down.)
And, dang blast it, I don't remember the line of dialogue this morning.
Figures, huh?
EDIT: I don't love not remembering the line. I love having had the dream. :)

I woke up thinking I'd better write it down because it had been kind of neat, and then as I woke up further realised that it had actually consisted of a painted image (of a wine glass, I believe) :-)
Dreams about your works are brilliant. If you can get that far into the world, then it must be a fairly coherent and engaging one.
