Question for Southern California Writers
Apr. 23rd, 2006 10:00 amDoes anyone know of any southern California writers/critique groups accepting new members?
I asked this a while back and nobody did, but several people were interested in the possibility of forming one if there was enough interest and we could find a central enough location to meet.
There are more southern California writers on my FL now, I think, so I'm asking again.
If nobody knows of a group, is anyone interested in forming one?

Date: 2006-04-23 06:04 pm (UTC)I'm in an online crit group and like it very much, but would not at all mind a face to face group, say once a month or so.
(Via friend's FL, BTW)

Date: 2006-04-24 04:36 am (UTC)I think it would be great to get a group going. Once a month sounds good to me if people can make it. If not, then maybe every 6 weeks or every other month?
How does that sound to you?

Date: 2006-04-24 04:32 am (UTC)I do the online thing; Forward Motion has its Think Tanks on Friday and Sunday evenings, I can usually make one or the other.
(I'm down in Orange County, btw.)

Date: 2006-04-24 09:46 pm (UTC)But fair warning, my schedule is both full (I work full time, go to school, and look after my grandmother) and odd (I work retail; while my schedule is regular *knocks on wood* it's not the normal M-F 9-5) so while it would be absolutely great to get back into a face-to-face group, the logistics are always going to be iffy.
