OMG, just when I think I can't do any more, they drop more on me and tell me I have to drive to Santa Ana and back next week (and put in extra hours) and maybe forever.

I think life is getting ready to crash down around me. Everything was already pretty precariously balanced to get so much done.

Sweetie, it's sounding more and more like the dubious advantages of this job are being outweighed by the disadvantages. You want me to start sending you the local classifieds?

What she said. Really.

Looking is free and won't hurt anything. Who knows, you may find your salvation.

Is saying 'no' an option? Sometimes you can talk to the boss and get the additional responsibilities outlined, with a time line (no more trips to Santa Ana after this week) kind of thing. Sometimes the boss isn't aware you're overloaded (and sounds like you have a clueless boss.)

If no isn't an option, then do what you can, and when they ask why the rest isn't done, bring up that whole job duties and overtime and hey my annual review sure needs to reflect that I'm doing two peoples' jobs.

Good luck. I never made either option work with my boss (who was a clueless hostile person) but at least my reviews shined.

BTW, you're allowed several breaks per day. When the anxiety makes you want to kill someone (well, do something physical that you'll regret later, like break the monitor or throw the keyboard) get up and get out of the building. It helped me during the bad times.

Oh, dear! ::hugs:: keeping my fingers crossed for you. (hoping that some of the pressure will let up!)

if there's any thing at all that I can do to help, I'm willing! (and I live close enough to keep that promise!)

(oh, and if you wanted a new job, I know of some interesting companies that are hiring. A local rehab being one of them...)

Thanks. :)

This has just been one of those days. But, less than an hour of work left.

Friggin' awful.

Maybe it is time to look for another job. Maybe one with better medical?
