Too Much to Do, Too Little Time
Mar. 7th, 2006 01:09 pmIsn't that the way it always is? I know there are lots of folks on my FL who can sympathize.
I'm getting ready to fall asleep here at my desk, looking through all the labor cards I have to finish checking, and wondering how the heck I'm going to make it until I get home at 8:30-9:00 tonight. I've been gone from home since 6:15 this morning.
Youngest son has play practice until I get him out early at 4:15. Then he and oldest son have to be at the school district's District Office at 5:00 (after youngest changes into his AcaDeca team "uniform"...black pants, white shirt, black tie, red sweater...school colors) for an awards dinner, honoring the team members and coaches.
However, oldest son (who is their assistant coach) also has Calculus 3 tonight at 6:00, at college. So, he gets to eat for 40-45 minutes and then I pick him up and whisk him off to class.
Then, daughter and I go back to the school district office for the school board meeting, where youngst son and rest of team are going to be presented, honored, and receive awards because they placed 14 in the region. (Out of 52 schools, I think it is.)
Then, back to pick up oldest son at 7:50 at school.
Home from there if the school board meeting is over. If not, back to the district office to wait for youngest son to be finished before we can go home.
And, at some point in all of that, daughter and I must have food, or I'll be dead by the time I get home.
Thank heavens I wrote a few words this morning and can hopefully get a few more in tonight before I collapse.
But, I've only got to work one more day this week. Then I have two days off.
Ahhhhh.....something to look foward to.
