I really, honestly did.

But, I just can't stop writing tonight. This time, I started a scene on a novel in my series that falls way down the line. I couldn't resist.

I know the feeling...a scene occurs to you and you have to get something down or risk losing it.

Exactly. No matter what time of day or night.

I'm definitely getting to that point. I once had the idea in my head that I couldn't write anything good at night, but most days this week were spent getting ready for Thanksgiving, so night was all I had. I started my last chapter after 10 pm a couple of days ago, for example, and knocked out about 800 pretty decent words.

Must remember that.

You know, I try to tell myself that getting the words onto paper--er, computer--is the important thing and that even if they're not great, I can hopefully fix them later. I've had a hard time convincing myself of that, but maybe I'm starting to believe it.

It's better having words there...any kind of words. At least they're there, so I can fix them later.

And, sometimes, they're not so bad. Then, I'm pretty pleased.

So, yeah, writing late isn't always a bad thing, is it?

Heh...like tonight...12:30 AM now. :)
