Olympic Writers Goals
Feb. 10th, 2006 02:25 pmNow that I've posted my goals for
olympic_writers over in the community, I think I shall consider them here.
My goals for the group are to finish plotting the following novels:
Pawns of Destiny
Devil May Care
Under the Desert Moon
Xanali
Wildfire
Complete the following novel:
Pawns of Destiny
The first three novels to be plotted are all romanticas and I've already put a lot of thought into them. Know the beginnings, middles, ends. Just need the details.
Xanali has the middle done already. needs the beginning (which is started) and the end. I have to determine a definite time period cut off for the ending.
Wildfire is a different case. The novel is complete, but skeletal at 200 pages. I'm going to go through and write out plot points as they appear now, then start making some shifts. There are parts of the novel that I want to be different from the screenplay it was taken from.
After that, and after the novel is rewritten, I will probably re-write the screenplay to match, if I like the results. So, actually, I'm plotting for two with that one.
As for finishing Pawns of Destiny, it'll probably only be around 60,000 words, maybe a bit less. I think I have 3,000-5,000 words on it already.
If I get my act back into gear, I should be able to get it finished up by the 26th.
IF.
