THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!!!!
Feb. 3rd, 2006 05:50 amIn caps even.
I think I would go insane if it wasn't Friday. Enough is enough...and this week has been way MORE than enough.
Started out good enough. I finished Out of the Darkness and submitted Spilt Milk in spite of all the crappy crappiness going on at work.
But, work got more demanding and I got more tired and more worn out, etc., etc. And, it has snowballed throughout the week.
Time to crash and burn. But, not for long. Too much to do.
What are you folks doing for the weekend? Anything exciting?
My youngest son is competing in the LA County segment of the Academic Decathlon this weekend. Last weekend, they had speech, essay, and interview competition. This weekend they have testing in math, literature, music, Super Quiz, hmm...there are more, but my poor brain can't remember this early in the morning.
Yesterday, on the practice tests, he scored a 900 (out of 1,000) in music, so he's really hoping for a medal in that. His score was twice as high as the team genius' in that subject and 900 is more than enough to get a medal. In fact, he'd probably get gold with that. I just hope he doesn't get all nervous tomorrow. There are lots of people competing.
Other than that, I've read some selections from Critters to critique. Need to do some critiques for Quill in Ink. Going to post some comments for an LJ community I belong to.
Need to read some. Going to read some.
Going to write, but I need to do some heavy duty plotting on two pieces first. One is Xanali. I still have all the wonderful middle plotting I did before I broke Out of the Darkness away from it. But, I have a lot of new material to plot in so I don't lose sight of what I want to write and include extraneous stuff. Also need to plot on Pawns of Destiny which I want to work on for
olympic_writers. I would feel much better having the plotting work completed this weekend.
But, I'd better get my butt out the door, or I'm never going to get work over with and be able to start the weekend.
Everybody have a good one!
