Fingers crossed.

I'm tired. Ready to curl up with kitties (cause it's been COLD at night) and sleep. Kitties are good to keep their mommy warm. :)

I worked on a lot of different things today. I'm not sure why.

I pulled up two short stories (Spilt Milk and The Replacement) and did some editing on them.

Spilt Milk was just a straight edit. Did a couple of passes on it and then [livejournal.com profile] bachsoprano took a look at it for me and made some VERY valuable comments.

THANKS, CAT!!! I appreciate your time and comments sooo MUCH.

So, I'll be doing another pass on it, possibly this week. I might actually submit it this spring.

The Replacement needed more work than that. It was 500 words and started out as an exercise and needed more content. So, I think it's an actual open WIP again. And, I decided that I could make a larger story out of it for a screenplay. So...I startd a screenplay today for the first time in a while.

Then, of course, I worked on Out of the Darkness tonight and got quite a bit done on it. Upped my word count estimate again...story of my life. There are lots of words that I'll cut when I tighten. Probably 25,000 easily. (Famous last words) Might move some more scenes to Xanali. I'll decide in rewrite. Not going to stress over that now.

It was a great read!

Thank you so much. It's just so hard for me to believe. :)

Hooray! That's great news!

I've checked out one of the markets you suggested and am considering it after I do more revisions.

Thank you.

Some nights, it feels like I have way too many progress meters on there...but I do so love my progress meters. They're very visual.

Hey, just noticed you added me so I added you back. ;)

Very interesting. I applaud you and your word counts. I wish I could do that (though I'm sure I could, but it would last for five days tops). Looking forward to reading more of your posts.

Thanks. I love reading what other writers are up to, how they write, what they write, how they keep up with their real lives, too.

Thank you.

I'm sure anyone that wanted to do it could do it. I'm just not sure many people are as stubborn as I am. :)

I blame my word count success on sheer stubbornness...and sometimes lack of common sense.

Thank you. I think it would be exciting to start submitting.

Of course, I'm also considering submitting screenplays again to. I always enjoyed that.

You like to have a lot of different projects going, huh? I like it that way, too.

I really do. So many of my protects feed into one another that it works well that way.

Also, when I occasionally have a shorter one (which doesn't happen often), it helps to get it out right THEN and let it sit until I'm ready to revise.

How many do you have generally going at a time?

I usually have a main one, a lesser one and then one for idea generation. So, right now, novel, screenplay and finding an artist who wants to work w/ me at turning one of my scripts into a comic strip. More leverage for other writing venues.
