It was that kind of day.

Consider yourselves lucky that I don't want to elaborate. Instead, I want to forget it.

However, I am quite grumpy and think everything I've written tonight SUCKS.

Does it? I dunno.

Upping the dang word count estimate again. This time, if I'm not finished before 150,000 words, I going to hack out some scenes I know I'm going to use elsewhere and not in this novel, even though I prefer to wait until the editing stage.

I'm going to go to bed now, cause I feel this HUGE rant coming on about how stupid I am to take word count goals so seriously, blah, blah, blah, and I really don't want to get into that. Or maybe I'm just stupid.

I like your icon. It's pretty.

I'm just very tired and not feeling well and I'm terribly grumpy and had a bad day.

And, someone pointed out to me that since I liked what I wrote yesterday, it probably meant that it was something that needed to be cut out. Sniffle. It was the freaking end of my novel.

So, I guess if I have such poor taste in what to like that means everything sucks.

But, I only say that cause I had a really hard day. Like I said, I'm grumpy.

I'd love to talk, but...sigh...it's after 10:00, and if I don't sleep, I'll be this way again tomorrow. :)

But your word count goals look fantastic so far. You're right on schedule! You're just having one of those beat-up-on-self days. Go put your feet up, read something that you aren't "studying," eat some chocolate and get some extra sleep. Every writer has these "ick" days where it all sucks, and guess what, it doesn't all suck really.

BTW, I just joined your group this week. I'm from Minnesota, & write YA fantasy mostly - I'm working on draft 2 of a novel right now, and am also doing some short stories, that are turning out to be adult - with swearing and sex scenes - all the stuff I won't do in YA. I'm sort of shocked to see it.
