Tired and Sore
Jan. 8th, 2006 09:08 pmOldest son and I went to Disneyland today and had a marvelous time. Mostly cause we went early, tackled rides in Disneyland and California Adventures, then left around 1:30, when it was getting oooooh, so CROWDED.
We walked onto every ride we rode except for Jungle Cruise, and only waited three minutes for that. I can honestly say I've never had this happen before. The longest line we stood in was Guest Services, outside the park, to upgrade the two day passes to season passes.
I think the biggest thrill was walking straight in and onto Indiana Jones Adventure and then, when the ride was finished, getting back in line and walking straight in and onto the ride again. (Yes, yes, I'm easily amused.)
But, I'm tired and sore and have been gritting my teeth for three or four days and just can't seem to make myself stop and get rid of the headache it caused.
Once again, I didn't expect to get words in, but, once again, stubbornness (and stupidity...don't forget stupidity) paid off. :)
I got lots of progress made tonight and think I will be able to finish the novel this week as planned.

Wow! In the space of roughly two and a half months you've written two whole novels along with asorted other stories and tidbits! That really is incredible! Congrats!

Date: 2006-01-09 01:58 pm (UTC)Yesterday I did no revision (there was a call to action for join house-cleaning activity). But if I revise 2 pages each day this workweek, I'll be back on track.
p.s. I'll be in California the week of Jan 23, but I suppose LA and Sillicon Valley are too far apart for us to meet.

Date: 2006-01-10 01:40 am (UTC)There's one thing that helps me with the teeth-grinding thing (I suffer from TMJ, so I know ALL about it.) It's a technique I read in a book on TMJ. Basically, you push your tongue up against the front of the roof of your mouth, with your lips closed and your teeth apart. You need to learn to check yourself every ten minutes. (I'm sorry if I'm not explaining it well.)
