You know what's really strange?

As much as I love my Fridays, cause they're the last day of the work week and herald the weekend, Friday is the most difficult writing day of the week for me.

Not on holidays or during time off. Only during the work week.

Because, by the time Friday comes, I'm exhausted physically, mentally, emotionally and all I can think of is getting home, doing NOTHING, and recharging over the weekend.

Usually, I manage a few words, but sometimes I can't even make myself crank out any.

It's not that the words aren't there. It's just that I'm too damn lazy to type. I resist. I want to literally do NOTHING.

Isn't that strange?

So, I'm trying to overcome this oddity and remind myself that I can spread out the resting over the weekend and give myself periods of nothingness on Saturday and Sunday.

Though I'm starting to think that I need to build in at least 15-30 minutes of nothingness during the week, too.

Might help me clear my brain and ease the stress some.

Doesn't sound strange at all.

Building in downtime sounds like a good idea. Maybe you should just give yourself persmission to take Fridays off from your writing. Your pace is so amazing that it wouldn't affect your totals that much. (Yes, yes, skewer me as a devil's advocate.)

Nothingness is good. Wu Chi, the empty circle, regenerates the mind and body.

You most definitely need to schedule some time for you to just relax, go blank, smoke a bowl... whatever you want to do. You need your time to let your brain decompress. It's essential to health and sanity. Don't beat yourself up about that, it's absolutely necessary.
