I Don't Believe Today
Nov. 11th, 2004 08:46 pmToo tired to live. Three OT days in a row. Found out today that I have to work on Thanksgiving and the day after. Not supposed to have to do that in a damned office job. I've never had to work on Thanksgiving before. This sucks!
I got home so late tonight that there hasn't been much time to write, but I couldn't die--uh, sleep--without writing a little.
Beginning of the End 393 words today

Date: 2004-11-12 02:04 pm (UTC)I often forget to check the Vegas paper online, so if you see anything good, let me know.
Hate my job, hate my job, hate my job...
Don't want to work Thanksgiving.
Desperately need a day off.

Date: 2004-11-12 09:34 am (UTC)Although very, very occasionally I think up a particular phrase that I want someone to say and I type that in a notepad file on my desktop creatively called "Untitled". *grin*

Date: 2004-11-12 02:02 pm (UTC)I have very few active brain cells, I'm usually half-sick, and yesterday, I just felt good to have written anything at all. It would have been very easy just to go to sleep, but writing is important to me and I want to write something EVERY day, even if it's not a lot. It's still something, and with everything crowding my life, that's really important to me.

Date: 2004-11-13 07:30 am (UTC)Besides, every time I force myself to write, I end up with crap that I have to toss out. I know some authors succeed holding themselves to a rigid schedule but I'm far too chaotic for that.

Date: 2004-11-14 12:23 am (UTC)So if that was written out with full sentences and such, it'd probably be at least 1300 words, and that's about as short of a writing session that I can do.
And yes, I banged it out in Notepad (but briefly stuck it in Word for the count just to check).

Date: 2004-11-12 04:54 pm (UTC)See, by the time I actually FOUND where Notepad is in the maze of Microsquish "Start" menus, Word would be open and screaming, "Good gods, woman, why did you open me if you aren't going to use me?"

Date: 2004-11-13 07:34 am (UTC)But yeah, I do also use Notepad for HTML, and it's bloody useful when you want to cut-and-paste from the Web and strip all formatting off (i.e. if you're going to copy a bit of text into an email). I know there are more robust programs out there, but Notepad works so hey, I'm gonna keep using it! :)
