But, I'm trying. I really, seriously am.
Don't want to talk about work. Day from hell.
And, of course, I've already posted about my voting experience. Need I say more?

Yami No Tenshi 2525 words for the day

Whew. Didn't think I could do it. Time to go to bed.
Not happy with the election coverage. :(

So days from hell can be useful, eh? :)

Date: 2004-11-03 06:21 am (UTC)When it's just a hellacious day at work that leaves me feeling hopeless and down, then it's hard to write and I struggle through my daily pages.
But, many times, there are actually useful things that happen or things that I learn that I do incorporate into my writing later.
Sometimes, I discover that I want to put my characters into similar situations and allow them to have the ability to work out something that I could not work out in real life. Maybe it's therapeutic?

Date: 2004-11-04 01:03 am (UTC)I write like method acting. I feel almost every emotion I put my characters through (which is probably why so many of my reviewers cry). Their pain is my pain, my pain becomes their pain. That's why domestic abuse is a recurring theme in my writing; on one hand it's helpful for me to get it out there, especially letting the victims eventually triumph one way or another, and on the other I hope to inspire other victims to stand up and shed their victimhood and never let it come back.
Gotta write what you know, eh? You can stick it on another planet or in another time but at the core if it's not something you feel, your readers won't feel it either.
