FINALLY got to talk to a person at Verizon about my phone.

I spoke with their automated service TWICE this morning and there's no option on it to speak to a live person. Finally managed that another way and discovered...

The service is NOT out in my area. It's only MY telephone.

Doesn't that figure?

He said he could determine that it was outside my apartment...that the problem is actually in THEIR cable.

But, only MY phone. How weird is that?

Sigh.

They want someone there, so they can't come until tomorrow, in case they decide they need to come in. Even though he says the problem is outside. And, they only guarantee repair by 7:00 PM...not necessarily earlier in the day.

So, no phone service tonight. What a pain.

Thank goodness for cell phones in case of emergency.
