At least not in August.

That the days were getting so much shorter.

Maybe it's the fact that the summer has been so hot and that I'm so anxious for Fall...which is always my favorite time of the year.

But, I'm having to turn on the lamp on my desk around 7:30 or earlier now, when it had been 8:30 or later only a month ago.

And, this morning, when I got up at 6:00, it was still dark, where it had been light at 5:30 not so very long ago.

This morning, we have fog and low clouds and there's actually a cool breeze TRYING to come in the window.

Nice. Maybe Fall WILL come after all.

My youngest was playing Guild Wars on my desktop while I was starting a game of Dragon Quest 8 (My previous game, which was on high levels, got wiped out two weeks ago when the memory card crashed, and I'm just now getting over it enough to start a new game.) and he yelled for me to come, that something had happened.

Don't know what it was, but it wasn't good and said something about dumping physical memory.

Anyway, now some of my programs are acting weird and I can't SEND e-mails on Outlook. I THINK it's receiving okay, but no sending at all.

Sooooooo frustrating.

Manhunt!

Oldest son and I went out to the store this evening and there was a manhunt going on in Covina. For those of you familiar with the area, there were cop cars lining and blocking side streets all the way from Badillo around Hollenbeck, up around San Bernadino, and that's as far as we saw.

There was a low flying helicopter checking out the housing tracts in the blocked off area.

A car in front of us at a traffic light asked the officer on duty there what was happening and he said there was a man with a gun on the loose!

WHOA!

How many of you folks have decided to participate in this year's NaNo already?

I've seen a few people post about it and talk of ideas.

I think it was almost this time last year that I started considering my idea and by the end of September, it was completely plotted. Made writing a heck of a lot easier.

I have my basic idea for this year already.

The book I'm going to write is entitled City of Fallen Stars, and I'm already excited about it even though I don't have a complete plot or any tiny details except for the city itself and the characters involved. And, a broad generalization of the plot.

What I do have is the feel for it, which is WONDERFUL. When I start with the feeling and images and scenes that play through my mind, I usually have a great writing experience.

So, I'm looking forward to writing this book, but I'm going to be good and not start the actualy writing until November 1st.

Before I do anything else, I have to finish the book that comes before it, Eyes That Watch the World. Hope to have that complete by the end of October.

We'll see how things go.

After that, I'll be ready to start editing all the novels I've got complete because they'll roll out, one after another, after these two novels.

Then, I'll be ready to get to work on finishing the others I have started and they'll fall in line after the ones that are finished. (And, of course, there are still new ones to start. Isn't writing wonderful?)

I love it when ideas come together. :)
