Off to take youngest to school...

And have breakfast since I have the day off.

I got the scary thing out of the way this morning. It took two hours, but it's over and done and I can relax.

Which I'm doing.

Went out to old work place. Went to lunch with a lady there. She bought me the biggest carne asada burrito I have ever seen, plus salad, at a really great Mexican restaurant. I wandered through the plant and offices and bothered everyone a great deal, then allowed myself to finally grieve over being pulled away from there and left.

Might go out again tonight. Not sure.

Going to go play Dragon Quest 8 for a while before I have to pick up youngest and daughter.

Got an online screenwriting seminar tonight. Looking forward to that.

MANY things in my brain to write. My series universe just suddenly took on a whole new dimension as far as storyline and depth go and there are sooooo many new possibilities to explore. I can tell I'm going to be busy over the 3-day weekend writing.

But, today is relaxing and rejoicing and being 50.

I might have some good news soon. After the scary thing this morning. Please think good thoughts for me. I appreciate it!

After last year, when everyone in the company (except myself and another person or two) was let go and the end of the company was near, I didn't think I'd ever celebrate birthdays again.

But, since this was the 50th, I had to do something, yes?

Other than the scary thing this morning, which took a couple of hours, but could bring great benefits (I'm afraid I'll jinx myself if I talk about it until I know for sure.), I relaxed.

Actually, first I had breakfast this morning, then did scary thing, then got taken to lunch with lady from old plant location I worked in. Then came home and played video games. Then took kids out to dinner tonight and had kick-ass meatloaf and French onion soup for dinner.

Came home to screenwriting class. The Disney exec had to back out and couldn't reschedule for the foreseeable future, so the query opportunity was replaced with a chance to query a lady that I'd love to have for an agent. I came close with her before and got some good advice, so I'm going to work and work and work and see if I can come up with something good to query her with. Hooray for another opportunity!

Wrote tonight. Stayed up too late, but tomorrow is the start of the long weekend once work is over, so...it'll all work out.

THANK YOU sooooo very MUCH to everyone who wished me a happy birthday and sent good birthday thoughts. I appreciate them more than you'll ever know, just like I appreciate each and every one of you. You brightened my day and gave me great joy. :)
