Actually, it was probably more like 3:55.

Some person parked a LOUD, running U-Haul truck outside my bedroom window and is moving furniture and making all kinds of ungodly noise!!!

Obviously, I couldn't sleep through it.

Sigh. No matter how hard I try to be good and get more sleep, there's always something to keep me from!

At least tomorrow is Saturday. I can sleep in then. :)

And, it's barely after 7:00. I still have the rest of the day to look forward to. :)

First, in spite of the goons that woke me up at 3:55, I determined I'd have a good (if not kinda sleepy) day. The new, more positive me. I guess the positive writing has dribbled over into other aspects of my life, too. (Can't complain with everything going on...helps to have some positive thoughts.)

So, I went to Denny's, since I was up already, for a $4.99 breakfast special. Thankfully, I could afford that. There was sooo much food that I brought half for break. And, with leftovers for lunch, I'm set for the work day.

Second, I got my paycheck around 6:30 and discovered it was enough to pay rent, plus $100 left over. Woo-Hoo! (I wasn't sure how much it would be, cause they insisted on taking out MORE taxes than I had taken out here...it's an employment agency that we have to work through for the receiver until the new owners HOPEFULLY take over.)

Thirdly, I didn't have anything to do first thing this morning, except keep myself busy, so I wrote 1,237 words between 6:00 and 7:00. What a great start to the day! I'm so pleased with myself. I'm not going to push myself today cause I have the whole weekend to write, but I hope I can at least double that by the end of the day. That would be a great start to a long weekend. Also a great start for

julnawrimo. I'd like to stay ahead in case I have a problem day somewhere throughout the month.

Ancient Secrets 1,237 words so far today

I have no clue about total word count, since the full tile is at home, but it's over 117,000 words at this point. :)

So...

I've been going out of my way this week to make sure that I actually TAKE a lunch every day. Get away from what I'm working on, relax, and eat.

That may not sound like a big deal to everyone else, but under the former ownership of the company, I could count on both hands the number of times I actually took a real lunch in 5-1/2 years. No wonder I was stressed all the time. I either skipped lunch (which the doctor said, coupled with the stress and lack of sleep is probably what caused the high blood sugar) or ate while I worked.

Anyway, I digress. (What else is new?)

Taking a lunch actually seems to make me more productive, which I like. I have written today. Not as much as last week, when I wrote something like 30,000 words in one week (I promise I'm NOT kidding...I'm sure it'll probably never happen again.), but more than the past few days when I haven't written.

I've got a good start for finishing a novel over the long weekend and I also started the lesbian vampire erotic novel for my sister. The plot fell into line very nicely once I let it veg in my brain overnight.

The problem? Well, I don't really write "romance". I write a regular novel with lots of romance and sex. So, I don't know if it would even be marketable or not. I asked her if she just wanted it for a gift, but she said I could market it if I want. Not going to worry about that now. It was just interesting how it morphed into a real story so fast.

Okay, so I didn't write much on Shadow of My Heart, but I did get it started. :)

And, by the time I hit 1,000 words (probably sooner), there should be sex going on.

Ahhhhh...three days off. Time to relax. Time to write. My daughter's 18th birthday on Sunday. Pretty good line up for a holiday weekend.

Today was rather productive. I'm pleased.

I read quite a bit when I got home from work and finished Fool Moon by

jimbutcher. Now, I have to go buy the other books in the series. :)

I have now started Ill Wind by Rachel Caine. Haven't gotten far yet, but I'm enjoying what I've read. I like the premise and can't wait to get into the heart of the book.

Still hoping to finish Ancient Secrets this weekend. I'm sure going to try.

Started the lesbian vampire porn novel for my sister,
