Whew! What a Weekend!

I tried to rest. I really did. But, this was just a totally bizarre weekend.

Yesterday, my youngest son locked the car keys in the trunk of the car. Let me tell you, that was NOT a fun experience.

Today, I turned my computer on and, lo and behold, my Outlook was just gone. Not the actual program, but everything that had been in it. All my e-mails, my e-mail accounts weren't set up any more, all my e-mail rules.

And, I never figured out what the hell happened to the blasted thing. So, I spent hours upon hours upon hours working on it. Found the actual e-mail files on my hard drive and had to set them up in Outlook again. What a chore! But, I'm finally back up and running.

Yesterday, I spent almost all day unpacking and loading Poser content I've been purchasing and not using for the past 6-7 months cause I'd gotten so discouraged with it before. But, I kept buying content in hopes of not feeling frustrated any more and I always look for stuff I can use to design characters from my writing with.

Then, last night, instead of going to bed as planned, I stayed up until 1AM working on a character design. I was pleased with the way she turned out...though she isn't finished by a long shot. I worked on it some more this morning, got some armor on her. I enjoyed it. :)

Then, tonight, after I finally got everything else done, I got a chance to write. I got kinda burnt out on the scene I was working on due to the extra stress I suffered at work over the past week. I need to rethink and get recharged, so I switched to another scene or two (or maybe it was four) that occur later in the novel. I was pleased. I actually got quite a bit done.

In fact, I wrote my 1,000 words for today, made up my 1,000 words for yesterday, wrote the extra 678 words I needed to finish my 1,000 words for Friday, and then wrote an extra 607 words for good measure. Very pleased with self tonight.
