I love nature, whether it be green forests and waterfalls, deserts and mountains, rivers and streams, oceans. Almost anything natural, I love it.

Today, though, I saw one of the most beautiful and memorable sights I've EVER seen. Actually, it was a combination...spectacular to behold. I won't be forgetting it any time soon.

I checked the weather forecast on AT&T before I left home this morning, hoping for more rain today. Sadly, the forecast called for only party cloudy skies this morning, clearing this afternoon to sunshine for the next week. I've been enjoying the rain, but it's always beautiful in southern California after the rain.

To my amazement, when I stepped outside my apartment, it was POURING. I mean, it was raining buckets. LOTS of rain, not just a little. Cool! I could deal with this.

As I was driving up my street, I caught sight of the full moon, hazy through the dark clouds, to the west. Awesome. Very nice.

But, when I got up to one of the main streets and was heading west, I was amazed to discover that the sky to the west was completely CLEAR. The moon was lording over the deep blue pre-sunrise sky while I was still being POURED on.

Awesome. Very cool.

Then, to the north, I spotted the mountains, covered in blankets of THICK snow. Wreathed in heavy, dark gray clouds. However, as the sky grew lighter, the clouds practically glowed, turning a beautiful, dark silver. The snow caps glowed, too, a magical white against the dark silver. Some of the glow was probably attributed to the full moon, too.

I couldn't believe so many awesome sights in one morning, while I continued to be POURED on.

Did I mention it was POURING?

Very magical morning. Day turned out pretty good too. :)

How can I forget the pothole? It's not like anyone will fill it in in this lifetime!
