IT'S NOT FAIR!!!
Sep. 29th, 2005 05:02 pmSniffle...
The temperature was 102 on my way home from work!!!
And, brush fire season has already started...instead of waiting until October.
And, what little Fall we had is gone...far, far away...vanished from sight.
Double sniffle...
(And, here ya'll thought I was going to complain about work again.)

Date: 2005-09-30 03:48 am (UTC)I used to live up there in Chatsworth, long ago. And, over the hill in Simi Valley, too.
Worst fire I ever saw was one year, when Simi Valley was entirely ringed by fires. That was sooo scary. At night, everything glowed from all the fire around. Really freaky, man.
Or, maybe it was the big Azusa fire a couple of years ago that burned all the way out to...maybe it was Rancho Cucamonga. That was scary, too.
My air conditioner in my bedroom froze up cause it was so hot. Doesn't that suck? I have a cold water now, though. That helps.
How hot does it get down in your area? You have ocean breezes, yes?

Date: 2005-10-01 05:13 am (UTC)Oh that REALLY sucks. Ugh.
It gets fairly hot here though. I'm about 4 miles inland, so unfortunately we don't get much in the way of ocean breezes. And it's hot and sticky tonight. Double ugh.
I was up at Soooze's when there were all those huge fires in like, I want to say the Malibu area... out that way, anyway. And they were bad. Really, really bad. I ended up staying up there one extra day because I wasn't sure I could actually make it home because of the fires.
