This afternoon, my daughter and I are going to a K-Earth 101 Hurricane Katrina Relief benefit concert, and I'm kinda nervous.

Yes, yes, feel free to laugh at me. I'm being silly. I know. But I can't help it.

You see, we were given tickets for some of the best seats in the house!!! (Thank you!) We're on row CC of the super front section, at the Greek Theater.

These are $100 tickets and they include a meet and greet with the performers, so that's why I'm nervous.

While it's probably no big deal to most everyone on my FL, because most of you are soooo much younger than I am, I grew up listening to these folks on the radio and buying their LP's when I was just becoming interested in music. I've seen some of them in concert before (though not all together like this), but never up close and personal.

However, I keep reminding myself that when I got the chance to meet my favorite singer, Peter Cetera, back in December, he was soooo great and it didn't inspire nervousness at all.

I don't know what's up this time. I guess just anxiousness from being super stressed for the past year. Maybe.

Anyway...I'm off to color my hair now. I've been meaning to do it for the past...oh...six to nine months, but events haven't left me really caring what it looked like one way or another. Heh...this gives me the incentive I've needed, I guess.

WoW! Congrats on the tickets and just wow on meeting the bands. Though... I met Penn Gillette (long-term crush there!) and he was personable and voluble and probably forgot me three seconds after I turned my back.

Two seconds. *S*

(Have fun!)

How cool is that? Very. I saw the Beach Boys and Three Dog night when I was 19. It was my first concert. I loved it. (yeah, I had to go research and see who was going to be there and who you were going to meet. I'm a geek)

You must take some pics(if you can). Have fun.(grab Shay some autographs? hehehehhe) Oh and stop worrying, you'll do fine.

Sounds like fun!

I'd be nervous too at getting to meet and greet.

Enjoy *grin*

I used to be a studio musician, and did a lot of concert gigs with big name acts. Trust me, you have nothing to be intimidated about. Most of them would be homeless if not for the fact that they had a modicum of musical talent and a lot of luck.

Remember, they snort their coke one nostril at a time, just like everyone else. :-)

That's awesome, Miss J! How was the concert? Front row center? That's very, very awesome. So how did it go? Get all mooshy-squooshy?
