Ready to Vote!
Oct. 25th, 2004 08:38 pmHooray!
Got my new voter's card today! I was afraid it wouldn't arrive in time, but it did! I'd tried a couple of times to use the mail in cards and never got my registration address changed. So, this time, I went down there and took care of it in person. It was worth it.
My oldest son got his card today, too.
And, we vote at the high school a couple blocks away. Could it be any easier???

I once voted at my assigned polling station in Canada and once on campus which was closer, and I frankly don't remember any difference in the procedure between the two. My Australian husband has done the same back home. You all are unfortunately stuck with a system that seems to do more to discourage voting than encourage it! And Shrubya&Co seem bent on making it worse!
