F-R-E-A-K-Y!!!
Sep. 20th, 2005 11:44 amI was just talking on the phone to one of our salesmen in GA and we had a lightning strike outside.
The phone did this funky vibrating thing and then I got cut off and all I could get was a high-pitched shrieking sound!!!
Freaky!
But, I love the thunder and lightning and the rain is coming down in torrents!!!

Date: 2005-09-20 06:56 pm (UTC)uhm, PLEASE be careful using a phone during a thunderstorm, and using a computer as well, my dad fried his motherboard because lighting hit the wired; surged and melted it. Even with a surge protector. I live in Oklahoma, thunderstorms are a way of life, they are beautiful, I love them but do take some precautions.
BTW send the thunderstorms our way, it's hot :P

Date: 2005-09-20 07:04 pm (UTC)When I was younger, my grandparents had lightning run in on their phone, which was sitting on top of their TV. Blasted a hole in the TV. (This was in Tennessee.)
Thunderstorms are a rare luxury for us. I adore them. I miss rain, from growing up in Tennessee. We don't get lots in CA, though last winter was pretty rainy.
It's hot there? Ick. And humid?
Usually it's hot here this time of year, but it's been remarkable for the past week or so. Nothing over 80. That is sooo cool. I wish it wouldn't get hot again, but we usually have 100+ degree weather in October. Bleh. :P

Date: 2005-09-20 10:05 pm (UTC)Oooohhh... I saw a video of this lady who was filming a lightning storm and while she was taping, she got struck. Morbid but kinda cool. LOL...
What? She lived!!! I'm not *that* morbid.
