Lots of it. And lightning too. And, rain...glorious rain!!!

IN SEPTEMBER!!! In southern California! The world must be coming to an end. :)

My poor Malik hides. He's so afraid of the loud booming. Well, that's stopped now. I can hear maybe the end of the soft rain. But, he hides for a long time after loud noises. Poor baby boy.

I got home so late tonight. After 6:00. There's so much more work to do than these people told me. They were so NOT honest with me. Or with anyone else for that matter. I can't believe I was naive enough to think things were going to be so much better.

More work. Less pay. Overtime with no pay, which is the way it's always been, only I don't think I should have to work so much for so much less pay.

Still no insurance.

More overtime in sight.

I'm tired and kind of grumbly, I guess. VERY tired. VERY, VERY tired.

Going to bed.

Just keep looking for a new job. At least now, a little of the pressure is off, and doesn't it always happen that you only get job offers when you already have a job?

I also love thunderstorms (my dogs don't), and that is one of the few redeeming things about living on the highveld - summer thunderstorms. And the smell of wet earth after.

Yes... the glorious rain. I love the thunder and lightning.

I'm so sorry to hear about the work crap. It's outrageous. I'm so sorry, Miss J. *HUGS*

Maybe this beautiful rain will wash away some of the ickiness.

I hope you feel better soon...

Sorry they lied to you. Have you had any luck searching for other jobs? And what would happen if you refused to work the overtime, since you aren't being paid for it?

Forcing you to work overtime without pay is illegal unless you are on salary. You can get them in a lot of trouble if this is what they are doing. Unfortunately if you're salaried you're screwed.

My company tried for a long time to get us to work OT with no pay. They wouldn't actually come out and say it but would hint at it in various ways and it would just piss me off. If I'm worth so little then let my work pile up.

Blargh!
