What the...
Sep. 18th, 2005 09:37 pmLast Sunday night, I hit my hand on the corner of the vanity in the bathroom. Hard enough to raise a goose egg and render it useless for the night. I put ice on it and slept with it on a bean bag pillow all night.
For at least half the week, I couldn't pick up anything much with my thumb and forefinger because my forefinger was having trouble. Had a hard time mousing, too.
The bump started going down some, but never went away.
I thought it was doing better by Thursday, but on Friday, there was a sudden turn-around. Now, it hurts like hell again, it wakes me up all night when I sleep, and the bump is getting bigger again. I seem to hit it on everything and it really, really hurts.
I can't figure out why it's going in reverse now, when it seemed to be on the road to recovery before.

Date: 2005-09-19 05:32 am (UTC)It's possible that there is a hairline fracture. Is there a lot of discoloration? I'm not a doctor, but it's possible that it's just a really deep bone bruise and the continued banging of it isn't allowing it to heal up properly.
Take care of that thing, Miss J.

Date: 2005-09-19 07:57 am (UTC)You really need to get it checked out. It could be a fracture or a clot--not things you want to fool around with. I'm sending you love and healing!
