Ouch!

Do you ever do something really stupid and then suffer the consequences later?

Well, I had ants in my bathroom and was squishing. Then, when I went to wash my hands, I turned around and whacked my right hand on the corner of the fake marble vanity.

HARD.

So hard in fact, that I couldn't move my hand and I thought I'd broken it. I went out into the living room, cradling my poor little wingie in my other hand and kids offered ice and a cold wash cloth and any variety of things to make it better.

I must have hit a nerve, because it took a while before fingers would move again.

However, I now have a big goose egg on the back of my hand, and first two fingers aren't working well. Other two and thumb seem unaffected now. Using the mouse is extremely difficult...and painful.

Moral of the story? Don't be stupid like me.

You might want to get that X-rayed. I did something similar once, and had broken one of the bones on the back of my hand...

Twice, I've broken a fall by bracing myself with my left hand -- putting most of the strain on my wrist. Since I'm lefthanded, this caused problems.

OUCH! That's not good. Definitely not stupid, silly. Accidents befall us all. You take care of that hand.
