Back On a Roll

In spite of everything going on, I've managed to get back on a roll, which pleases me greatly!

Hooray!

If I keep up to speed, I can actually finish Dawn of Destiny like planned this month.

When I first switched to it and started work the other day, I was kind of uneasy. It was odd coming back to it after I'd split it from a larger work and then scavenged parts for Ancient Secrets. But, it looks like I've still got decent material to work with, and mostly what it needed was a beginning, an end, and some connecting material/changes throughout.

But, all of the sudden--maybe it was yesterday--the new opening kind of took off, based on how things had ended up in Ancient Secrets. I wasn't sure it was right until today, when it took off in another direction, feeding off what I wrote yesterday. And, now, it gives me a perfect lead-in to the first book in the second trilogy, Yami No Tenshi, which uses some of the characters from Ancient Secrets as well. Works much better than what I originally had planned when I started this. Much better.

But, it's going so fast now, even though I've just started back to work on it, that I'm afraid I haven't had time to really get back into the plot. I like to hope brain still has enough feel for it. I can't believe I actually have a chance to finish it this month. It's overwhelming.

How are things with you?

I've been meaning to ask you. You said you thought you might have trouble finding Advent Children when it comes out. Would you like me to pick you up a copy here and send it to you?

Sadly, it's been pushed back and isn't coming out next week, like planned. Now, they say November 30...in time for Christmas, I guess.

However, I'm going to try to find a Japanese copy since it's coming out next week. I want to see those yummy guys...and especially Sephiroth's "guest" appearance. (Though, of course, Cloud looks pretty awesome, too.)

Will Japanese DVDs play on American DVD players? ::is in the dark about all that "region" crap they use to make getting what we want more difficult::

That's such a lovely thought, but if it's going to take a while to come out in Australia we'll just import it anyway. We do it all the time, although now Madman's starting to get their act together we don't have to as much, which is nice.

I know what you mean about Sephiroth! Mmmmm. And the whole "guest"/flashback thing has me REALLY wanting to see it. And yeah, Cloud looks awesome, athough he's always kinda got on my nerves... *shrugs* I know he's supposed to be an antihero and all, and normally I LOVE those chatacters...but at least he looks good in this! :D
