Damn Creepy

Today, my hours changed. My choice. Since I'm going to be one of only two people in here, except for the security guard and any Trustee folks who happen to wander in from time to time, they asked what I wanted to work.

So, I came in at 7:00. (Having told them yesterday that I'd be here at 7:00.)

Only to find the gate LOCKED and some wannabe Rambo giving me a hard time about the place being closed.

FINALLY, after half an hour of haggling, me refusing to leave, and me blocking one lane on the street since I couldn't get in, he called his boss.

Five minutes later, someone is here to unlock the gate and let me in, saying they didn't think anyone was coming until 10:00.

I'll talk to the Trustee's rep who is supposedly in charge of the guards when he gets here later, but right now, I don't need any more of this crap. Not after everything else that has happened.

It's dead in here.

It's spooky.

I really hope you are job hunting. That place is giving you nothing but grief and it's not going to get any better. They say they will pay you for the next two months. Use that time to find a job without the hassles and that has a little stability.

Good luck and *hugs*

At this point in time, stability is probably going to be the biggest thing I look for in the next job. I'd love to find one without as much stress, too, but, sadly, accounting and stress and overtime all go hand in hand in hand. Bleh.

The people who were running the company before the Trustee just decided to end things have my resume. They were good and honest and hardworking people, and I'm hoping maybe something will come up with them within the next few months.

If not, there are a couple of people in accounting who are sending me openings they know of as they become available.

So, I have high hopes of ending the year with a shiny new job. :)

I'd be creeped out to be there alone. All the little noises that sound worse than they are. :)

You definitely need a better place to work. The situation sounds awful.

Today, there are three of us, plus the security guard. It's very quiet. Not too much in the way of noise, but since the plant hasn't been operated regularly for a few months, we're starting to be over run with spiders and cockroaches.

Isn't that just TOO gross???

Very, very frustrating situation. Mostly because the Trustee's office won't be honest with us about anything.
