Change of Plans

I was all set to rant, but I don't think ranting would make me feel any better. So, I'll just post about what happened and get over it.

I've had computer problems all day...that weren't really computer problems.

Started around 7:30 this morning. Cats wouldn't let me sleep, so I got up, even though I'd gone to bed at 1:30 and was exhausted still.

My internet service and e-mail wouldn't work. I messed with it for a LONG time. Then daughter and I went to the grocery.

Came back and spent HOURS on the phone with four different calls. I think they farmed their customer support out to India. That's what it sounded like...everyone sounded alike and couldn't understand me. All rude, too, which was disappointing. I've never had this problem before.

They were convinced their service was perfect and it was all MY computer. They had me convinced of all kinds of tragic things. So, they had me changing settings and trying different things. I even defragged the computer because they said it was a damaged softare problem. Took HOURS.

Finally, I wised up and tried to connect on my laptop. Same problem. Called them back and they're convinced BOTH computers have problems...it's not their fault at all. Of course not.

Ultimately, I tried another access number that's a toll call for me. Guess what? It works. Of course it does, cause it costs me MONEY!!!!

The other two, the local ones, don't work. They swear there's nothing's wrong with them. Sigh...

I've wasted my day, I have a headache THIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSS big, and I feel like doing nothing.

I've written a whopping 415 words. Sigh. I'd hoped to make progress today.

I'm trying to convince self to write the day off as a loss, relax, recharge, and start all over with a new day tomorrow. :)

I hardly ever have them, so I guess I'm spoiled.

It was just such a STUPID problem and I've been so frustrated with it today.
