First There's the Good News, Then There's the Iffy News

Well, court's over.

The old owner will not be back. (Unless there's some sort of appeal he can make.)

Hooray!

That's the good news.

Here's the iffy news.

A trustee was appointed by the court. So far, so good.

The receiver will stay in place and the people who want to buy the company will conduct business as usual.

Also good.

HOWEVER, here's the rub. If the company is put up for sale, the people in here running it now do not get the company like the receiver had planned.

They have to bid for it like everyone else.

Sigh...

I happen to know that another previous owner (who everyone says is insane) also wants to buy the company. This nutcase screamed at everybody when he was owner, timed breaks with a stop watch, and had his polo ponies on the payroll!!!

The IRS caught him maybe 15 years ago and forced the company into bankruptcy.

For once, I hope this company gets decent owners...namely the people running it now. THEY ARE WONDERFUL!!!

I'm glad to hear that the whole situation is drawing to a close... he's my thoughts and energy that the guys in the white hats win the day and buy the company. After all you've been through, you deserve some stability and somebody that will appreciate you and all you do.
