At least for now. :)

After the past few days of seeing a few doubts creeping in, I was pleased to wake up back in control of my "writing destiny" (okay, that sounds pretentious, doesn't it?) this morning.

I didn't get lots of sleep last night, but I dreamed LOTS, which I think has LOTS to do with recharging my brain.

I woke up this morning realizing that it was perhaps the growing word count that I found intimidating, fearing that my story was too long and maybe that meant it might be out of control...even though I thought I had a handle on it.

The solution for that is to snip out two of the sub-plots to make room for what I need to finish. I think one subplot will be MUCH better in Dawn of Destiny now that I really think about it and the other subplot will be much better in a later book where the characters in this one come together again before more sh*t hits the fan.

So, there. I feel better. I guess, when I get home, I'll consider actually cutting them out now. I hadn't really wanted to do any editing until I was finished, but it might make me feel better in the long run.

Maybe. I'll decide when I get home.

But, I must be doing at least a little better because I'd already written quite a bit by 7:40 this morning. It's nice that it's quiet today and I have not so many demands on me. :)

OK, this is only the view of a trainee architectural historian, but pretentious is good ;)

It's definitely an attempt on my part to remain optomistic. :)

glad things are better for ya........

It's a wonderful feeling, isn't it? Kind of like being free and soaring above the world. :)

I have a hard enough time with the concept of being awake and breakfast food at 7:40 am, much less trying to write anything!

I started writing a litle after 6:00 yesterday. I'm having a little trouble adjusting to the being at work at 6:00, but since I'm not doing my regular accounting work, I sometimes have time free to write, so that's a bonus I can't complain about at all.

By the time I get home at night, I'm half dead and am not very productive then.

Yes, it's wonderful. Even when I can't remember the dreams, I can remember having had them and the feel of them. It's amazing.

I actually AM a morning person, though it's hard to tell these days from having to be at work at 6:00. Makes me extra tired right now. :)

The writing part of my day was GREAT yesterday. Can't quite say that about today. The real world of work and finances (or lack of finances, I should say) has made me uninspired today.

Sigh...

I've tried waking up 15 minutes early earch morning to jot down some words...it's not working. I am NOT a morning person, and I think I've learned to live with that :)

Good to hear you're keeping the doubts at bay. There's nothing pretentious about that.

I think I must be the ONLY morning person I know. I am soooo much more productive in the morning. I'm too tired to be productive by the time I get home. :)

How have you been doing? I read your first two chapters on OWW, but haven't had a chance to comment. I want to get back into the swing of things to I can participate again.

I'm doing well. Thanks :)

You don't have to crit. If you are interested in just reading and maybe giving some impressions, I'd love that *bats eyelids* I could send you a (small) bunch of chapters if you'd rather :)

I'd love to read what you have done, if that's okay. It's so much easier to read a bunch of chapters in a row than it is to read one or two at a time. :)

Sure! *is happy*

I'm still trying to work out what's going to happen with chpt 1, and unfortunately that makes a difference to chpt 4, so maybe...give me a week or so? Then I'll send a small bunch your way :)

Do I have your email somewhere?

THANK YOU. I'm so happy you wanted to read some *grins silly wide grin*

*wild applause*

Good for you, Miss J. Take charge. Grab your writing destiny by the balls and lead it where you want it to go...

I'm happy for you!!! Keep rollin'!

Thank you. Thank you.

Yesterday was a good writing day. Today, I'm worrying about work and paying the bills and I'm kinda blah and uninspired.

However, I WILL write my 1,667 words for [livejournal.com profile] julnawrimo even if it kills me. Grrrr......
