Hmm...Maybe I'm Pleased
May. 23rd, 2005 09:19 pmBut, I'm not sure. Yet.
Maybe I'll decide tomorrow.
I wrote. That's good.
I'm back to the novels. That's good.
Haven't finished plotting the new stuff. That's NOT good.
Haven't set new goals. That's NOT good.
I thought I was going to be pleased with what I wrote. I had it all in my head like I wanted it. Then...well, too many distractions. I was tired and bad things happened and I was just pulled in too many directions at once and I got depressed.
So, now, I can't tell whether I wrote crap or whether I'll like it and/or can fix it later.
I'm trying to give it the benefit of the doubt, but I guess it's just the weight of the world making me bleh.
Anyway...
I did two critiques for Quill N Ink today. That's good. Hope to do more tomorrow plus two critiques for Critters. Then, maybe I can finish up with Quill N Ink on...not Wednesday cause my son has a HUGE concert. So, maybe Thursday and then I can get back to OWW reviews.
Internet and fax went out at work today. That was a pain in the butt. Hope it's back tomorrow.
Oh, and for those of you who followed my mutant roach news, I slid a paper under the cup he was imprisoned in before I went home and took him to the toilet for a burial at sea. I didn't think he was going to go down, but after a couple of spins around the bowl, he finally disappeared.

Date: 2005-05-24 01:25 pm (UTC)I got your note. Thank you so much. You're so sweet.
Cockroaches are nasty creatures. I think they're coming in at work to escape the heat. However, it's a bit cooler today, so I hope for some relief.

Date: 2005-05-24 08:40 am (UTC)I've only ever seen cockroaches in a zoo (or on TV), which I'm quite grateful for. I did get to hold various types a few moths ago on holiday. The hissing one was amusing, and tickly.

Date: 2005-05-24 11:07 am (UTC)I understand the roach problems very well. Luckily my rampaging kitten gets rid of any we have here (although she does leave them in several pieces once they're dead). My old place was a roach breeding ground though! *shudders with bad memories*

Date: 2005-05-24 01:28 pm (UTC)Aren't roaches disgusting? I'm glad they're at work and not at home, though I often fear bringing them home (without knowing it) in my briefcase or my purse. Ick!!!
Cats are wonderful about leaving pieces of things lying around, aren't they? It's always funny to watch them chase bugs. :)
