I Should Have Been Good...But I Wasn't

Should have slept early again tonight, but I was writing and I just couldn't bear to stop.

Of course, it's after 10:00 now, so I MADE myself stop. I'm at a good stopping place. I need to sleep.

Got two pieces read for Critters.

Got five out of nine pieces read for Quill N Ink. And, I've started on the sixth!

Whew! Lots of reading done during breakfast and tonight.

Now, if I can just get to the critiques.

Started yet ANOTHER new short story. This one falls between Beyond the Darkness and Into the Light in the grand scheme of things, but isn't a Koji story, though Koji is in the story. Perhaps it'll show, though it's not directly about him, what happened to him at some point after Beyond the Darkness, so that Into the Light makes sense. Since he's living in a different country and has a job and a life and everything at that point.

Anyway...I don't really know that I can do anything with these short stories other than gather them into a collection at some point. Not sure they can all stand alone. I don't want to have to re-introduce and explain the characters each and every time. Unless Beyond the Darkness can stand alone since it's a novella and early in the time line.

Got some good plotting done at breakfast today. Got some changes to impliment in Rosemont. I think it'll make a big difference and help me get it finished quicker and with less frustration. Still trying to decide whether to combine it with and change the name to Ancient Secrets. I think that's the way to go, but I was holding back some until muse presented me with ideas today that will make the transition smoother.

Muse apparently kept working on stuff even while I felt bad. Good muse. I love you, muse.

I read the first two chapters of your Novella today that you posted on OWW. I will read over it again before I jot down my thoughts. I can email you if you like. I am uncomfortable giving crits from a writer's POV, but I can tell you what worked for me and what didn't from a readers POV.

I am intrigued by the Gods and the evil from the pit. I want to know more. =)

Yay for writing! Good to know I'm not the only one who tells herself "I will go to bed early tonight" then keeps writing to 1 am! Makes the next morning a killer...but it's worth it. I'm glad to hear you're inspired! :)

Oh, and have I mentioned...can I read that story :D
